Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Didi Nogueira made the kick off and thus started the match. Linus Kjellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Dinei Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tião Negri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Linus Kjellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Guimarães having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didi Nogueira in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Carlos Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simonaio FC's José Carlos Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Simonaio FC from getting a goal against them. When Luiz Fernando Prata fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goiatuba's protests and gave Luiz Fernando Prata a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Goiatuba got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Prata. José Carlos Rodrigues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Valadares in the 29th minute. Mateus de Godoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but José Carlos Rodrigues made a huge save. In the 31st minute, Luiz Fernando Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes of play, Simonaio FC's Linus Kjellbom made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dinei Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th match minute, Simonaio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Goiatuba's Didi Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Carlos Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Linus Kjellbom made a kick off. After 54 minutes Goiatuba's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Linus Kjellbom who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Linus Kjellbom got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dinei Guimarães quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateus de Godoy in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Carlos Rodrigues saved Simonaio FC from getting behind. In the 59thth minute of the game Mateus de Godoy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Simonaio FC's José Carlos Rodrigues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 63 minutes of play, Goiatuba's Leopoldo Valadares made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Carlos Rodrigues was left in no man's land by his defense there! Linus Kjellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Carlos Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Nogueira in the 76th minute of play. José Carlos Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Goiatuba's Didi Nogueira. But to his dismay, Didi Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Linus Kjellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simonaio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Linus Kjellbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronaldinho Leal hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute of the match Linus Kjellbom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dinei Guimarães showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. José Carlos Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Goiatuba booed when Simonaio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96 played minutes Simonaio FC got a freekick which was hit by Richard de Carvalho. Goiatuba's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
