Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Olívio Veloso kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Luiz Fernando Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateus de Godoy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Geraldo Dantas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Geraldo Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateus de Godoy went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Goiatuba's Dinei Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Vianna in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Leopoldo Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goiatuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Clone F C booed when Goiatuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Didi Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geraldo Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Nogueira in the 29th minute of play. Didi Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Dantas having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Didi Nogueira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Geraldo Dantas. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. Didi Nogueira hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Didi Nogueira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mateus de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Alessandro Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clone F C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessandro Vianna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Olívio Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clone F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Olívio Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Didi Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. Didi Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Clone F C's zone, Didi Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geraldo Dantas came out of the goal and Didi Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geraldo Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus de Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After some careless play in the Clone F C defense, Didi Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo Dantas. The Clone F C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo Dantas should have stopped the shot. Goiatuba's Didi Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geraldo Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Nogueira in the 69th minute of play. Mateus de Godoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Didi Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Dantas having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, Didi Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goiatuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geraldo Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Nogueira in the 77th minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, Clone F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. Goiatuba's Mateus de Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Dantas having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Didi Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goiatuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. There was no doubt that Goiatuba were the better team. Goiatuba's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
