Diamantino Penha came out of the goal and Paulo José Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ronaldinho Perez came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Barrera AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldinho Perez couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldinho Luz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ronaldinho Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, AC Fiorentina's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Tasso came free, but Diamantino Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barrera AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldinho Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, AC Fiorentina's Ronaldinho Luz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 85th minute, Ronaldinho Luz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronaldinho Luz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeferson Passos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Barrera AD got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Coutinho. In the 92nd of the match, Ronaldinho Luz tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Jeferson Passos got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 93rd minute, Váldson Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
