Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Luiz Paulo dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Arí Quintal made a huge save. 9 minutes into the match, Palheiro SS's goalkeeper Arí Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Carlos Freire. Walmyr Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arí Quintal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Palheiro SS's Arí Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Tasso in the 15th minute of play. If Silas Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Palheiro SS's zone, Zé Carlos Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arí Quintal came out of the goal and Zé Carlos Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arí Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Simões in the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to Palheiro SS getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Eduardo Silva hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Walmyr Simões dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arí Quintal, 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Vítor Paulista to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Zé Carlos Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. THE BEST FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Walmyr Simões cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Arí Quintal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 67 played minutes Palheiro SS got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Silva. José Augusto Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Zé Carlos Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arí Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, THE BEST FC's José Augusto Santos got control of the ball when Silas Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Palheiro SS getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gilmar Alves hit a great ball. Michel de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Arí Quintal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THE BEST FC. If Silas Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmyr Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Arí Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arí Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Freire in the 95th minute of play. Walmyr Simões, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. THE BEST FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
