In the 8th minute Geovanni Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Nilton Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nyland Star Soccer's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilton Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gláuber Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nyland Star Soccer's Josué Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Nyland Star Soccer from getting a goal against them. Nyland Star Soccer's Josué Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Xavier in the 14th minute of play. Josué Barral made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jeferson Damião sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th match minute, Nyland Star Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvio Trică to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th match minute, Nyland Star Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Josué Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson Damião in the 20th minute. Marcelo da Costa took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josué Barral. Josué Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Wellington Xavier notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Nyland Star Soccer's Josué Barral. Josué Barral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd match minute, Nyland Star Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Moreira to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Esporte Clube Godoy's Jeferson Damião got a free kick in the 40th minute. Nyland Star Soccer's attack was well implemented in the 43rd minute, but when Nilton Macedo was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Josué Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson Damião in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Guilherme Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esporte Clube Godoy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nyland Star Soccer the free kick. Esporte Clube Godoy:s Gláuber Félix showed great skill when he stopped Kléberson Silveira:s penalty. Kléberson Silveira took the ball and in the 49 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gláuber Félix. Gláuber Félix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelo da Costa was the one to do the kick off. Jeferson Damião took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josué Barral. Josué Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Nyland Star Soccer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeferson Damião was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Josué Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Gonçalves in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the Esporte Clube Godoy defense, Nilton Macedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gláuber Félix. The Esporte Clube Godoy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gláuber Félix should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Nyland Star Soccer's zone, Wellington Xavier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Barral came out of the goal and Wellington Xavier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josué Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes of play, Esporte Clube Godoy's Wellington Xavier made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Josué Barral was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute Jeferson Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josué Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo da Costa in the 86th minute of the match. Kléberson Silveira hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Tostão Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esporte Clube Godoy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tostão Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josué Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Damião in the 89th minute of the match. Josué Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Nilton Macedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Gláuber Félix made a huge save. Josué Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Damião in the 99th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Esporte Clube Godoy were the better team. Esporte Clube Godoy's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
