In the 17thth minute of the game Luís Gustavo de Godoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mangarahy AD's Jonathan Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Luís Gustavo de Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Mendonça was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the game, Clemente Freitas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jericoacoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mangarahy AD the free kick. Clemente Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Baltazar Nogueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kauã Rossi. Jericoacoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltazar Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 28 minutes into the game, Luís Gustavo de Godoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jonathan Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. José Maria Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jonathan Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauã Rossi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcelinho Teixeira. After 43 played minutes Jericoacoara got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Freitas. Luís Gustavo de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Jonathan Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jericoacoara. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Fabiano Prestes made the kick off in the second half. Baltazar Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauã Rossi having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Mangarahy AD's goalkeeper Jonathan Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Maria Souza. Jericoacoara's José Maria Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Jericoacoara's Luís Gustavo de Godoi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Mendonça. Jonathan Mendonça yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. José Maria Souza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Mendonça when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Jonathan Mendonça successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jonathan Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Luz in the 79th minute of play. Jonathan Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Luís Gustavo de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Mangarahy AD's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Gustavo de Godoi came free, but Jonathan Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jericoacoara's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
