When Rafinha Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Argerita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafinha Ortiz couldn't finish the play. Aleandro Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Argerita's Aleandro Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Meira in the 12th minute of play. Régis Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Waldemar Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Dalmo Meira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Desagua SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 34th minute, Régis Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldemar Pereira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 38 minutes into the match, Argerita's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Meira came free, but Aleandro Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Argerita's Rafinha Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giovani da Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giovani da Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christiano Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Álvaro Novaes to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Paulo José de Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Waldemar Pereira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wellington da Costa hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Argerita's Aleandro Souza got control of the ball when Giovani da Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Argerita's Régis Vianna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldemar Pereira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Rafinha Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Dalmo Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Rafinha Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmo Meira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Aleandro Souza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmo Meira got free with Aleandro Souza in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
