An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Soares in the 17th minute of play forced Nataliense FC's goalkeeper Laerte Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laerte Brodel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tião Loyola showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Edmílson Figueiredo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Aleandro Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Gustavo F.C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Benjamim Teixeira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Figueiredo in the 27th minute of play forced Gustavo F.C.'s goalkeeper Aleandro Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Nataliense FC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Nataliense FC's Edmílson Figueiredo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 47th minute, Edmílson Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Aleandro Souza. Gustavo F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Valdir Pombal hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Laerte Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Gustavo F.C.'s goalkeeper Aleandro Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vitório Madureira. Edmílson Figueiredo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aleandro Souza came out and tried to block the shot, but Edmílson Figueiredo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 64th minute. Vitório Madureira struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Aleandro Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nataliense FC. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Elivélton Paiva put in a rough tackle. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gustavo F.C.! After 77 minutes Gustavo F.C.'s goalkeeper Aleandro Souza managed, with a little bit of luck, save Diego Neto's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Diego Neto did an outstanding performance 77 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-6 to the right of an irritated Aleandro Souza in the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Nataliense FC's Edmílson Figueiredo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aleandro Souza. That made the score 1-7 after 80 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Figueiredo in the 84th minute of play forced Gustavo F.C.'s goalkeeper Aleandro Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmílson Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Aleandro Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Aleandro Souza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Benjamim Teixeira took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laerte Brodel. Laerte Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-7. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmílson Figueiredo in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aleandro Souza saved Gustavo F.C. from getting behind. Edmílson Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 101st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Gustavo F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nataliense FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
