In the 14th minute Vivaldo Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júnior Lucas's late challenge caught a Carmo F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júnior Lucas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Xinxo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Xinxo EC's Doni Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Machado in the 31st minute of play. Doni Campidelis came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Carmo F.C.'s Tony Schmidt. But to his dismay, Tony Schmidt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 55th minute, Fausto Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo Fantini in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doni Campidelis saved Xinxo EC from getting behind. Doni Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute, Edmundo Souto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doni Campidelis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Xinxo EC's Doni Campidelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Xinxo EC from getting a goal against them. Alessandro Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doni Campidelis having to make a save. Doni Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Carmo F.C. played a much better game than Xinxo EC and deserved their victory. The Xinxo EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
