To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inhussul's Wictor Mårtensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Inhussul from getting a goal against them. Noel Vaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tostão Pena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Noel Vaz sped through Arikemes EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tostão Pena. 35 minutes into the game, Inhussul's Fabrício Mineiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tostão Pena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 53rd minute, Fabrício Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Francisco Breckenfeld was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arikemes EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inhussul the free kick. The penalty shot was made by Frédson Tasso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Inhussul's Wictor Mårtensson. 2-3. The supporters of Arikemes EC booed when Inhussul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Inhussul getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Miguel Passos hit a great ball. When the match was over Inhussul could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arikemes EC throughout the match.
