Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Magno Antunes kicked off to start the match. When Donatello Rossi fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored G E Rione's protests and gave Donatello Rossi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cruzeiro E.C booed when G E Rione was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donatello Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Neiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basílio de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Basílio de Amorim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Magno Antunes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto Ortiz came free, but Geovanni da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bebeto Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni da Cunha having to interfere. Rodrigo Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes in the game Wilian Custódio after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Basílio de Amorim. A very good opportunity. Bebeto Ortiz took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovanni da Cunha. Geovanni da Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Leopoldo Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Basílio de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mateus Moreira hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Magno Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio de Amorim having to interfere.

In the 53rd minute, Bebeto Ortiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The G E Rione fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. G E Rione's Flavinho Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, G E Rione was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Basílio de Amorim came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro E.C's Magno Antunes. But to his dismay, Magno Antunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After 72 minutes of play, Cruzeiro E.C's Leopoldo Neiva made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio de Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! 78 minutes into the match, Flavinho Diniz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geovanni da Cunha, 3-4. G E Rione's Bebeto Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Flavinho Diniz made a precise shot to the right of Geovanni da Cunha. Cruzeiro E.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-5. Eugênio Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Geovanni da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, Cruzeiro E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Miranda to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of G E Rione booed when Cruzeiro E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basílio de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
