Romário Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Antunes in the 7th minute of play. Cruzeiro E.C's Geovanni da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Barros in the 10th minute of play. Desengano Fut Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Roberto Miranda scored to the left of an out of position Romário Viana, making the score, 1-0. After 15 played minutes Desengano Fut Club got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Barros. Romário Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Bittencourt in the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Magno Antunes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Romário Viana, passed just outside the right post. Mané Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Rubinho Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni da Cunha having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Desengano Fut Club's goalkeeper Romário Viana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Miranda. Romário Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Romário Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Rubinho Barros notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cruzeiro E.C's Geovanni da Cunha. Geovanni da Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute, Evandro Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Mazinho Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desengano Fut Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mazinho Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes Cruzeiro E.C got a freekick which was hit by Magno Antunes. Romário Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After recieving a nice pass, Desengano Fut Club's Mazinho Ramos tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Evandro Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Geovanni da Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desengano Fut Club. Romário Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Neiva in the 62nd minute of play. Wilian Custódio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romário Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Romário Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiliam Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romário Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wiliam Bittencourt's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Evandro Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rubinho Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Cruzeiro E.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Evandro Aguiar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Cruzeiro E.C getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Magno Antunes hit a great ball. Evandro Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Geovanni da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Desengano Fut Club's Rubinho Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geovanni da Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubinho Barros in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanni da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Magno Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Desengano Fut Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cruzeiro E.C.
