Geovanni da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerson Rodrigues went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Raí Falcão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni da Cunha was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerson Rodrigues made a kick off. Magno Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wiliam Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The Cruzeiro E.C fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Cruzeiro E.C's Leopoldo Neiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 74 minutes into the match, Quixoba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Antunes came free, but Fiori Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerson Rodrigues in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanni da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Antunes in the 84th minute of play forced Quixoba SC's goalkeeper Fiori Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magno Antunes scored 7-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fiori Pinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 89 minutes, Roberto Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzeiro E.C and the Quixoba SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leopoldo Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Fiori Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
