Fiori Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bebeto Ortiz in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Régis Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quixoba SC's Fiori Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Diniz in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Quixoba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Prestes to maneuver through the defense. During the 8th minute of the match Christian Prestes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Christian Prestes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Christian Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Quixoba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Diniz came free, but Fiori Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Fiori Pinho managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when G E Rione's Bebeto Ortiz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fiori Pinho was a little too slow when Bebeto Ortiz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. Raí Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Basílio de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Bebeto Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. G E Rione's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bebeto Ortiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, G E Rione's goal looked a bit too open when Raí Falcão came free, but Basílio de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basílio de Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raí Falcão went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Bebeto Ortiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fiori Pinho having to make a save. Bebeto Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori Pinho having to interfere. Raí Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Basílio de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute of the match Dário Silveira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basílio de Amorim skillfully saved the ball. Bebeto Ortiz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Fiori Pinho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 39th minute, Bebeto Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Quixoba SC's Raí Falcão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basílio de Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Basílio de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Falcão in the 43rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bebeto Ortiz got free with Fiori Pinho in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eugênio Perez came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fiori Pinho could save by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raí Falcão to make the kick off. Bebeto Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fiori Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Donatello Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Fiori Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G E Rione. Eugênio Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fiori Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raí Falcão's late challenge caught a G E Rione's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raí Falcão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Raí Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69th play minutes Bebeto Ortiz shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Fiori Pinho and just under the crossbar into goal. After some careless play in the Quixoba SC defense, Flavinho Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fiori Pinho. The Quixoba SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fiori Pinho should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bebeto Ortiz in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fiori Pinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raí Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Basílio de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bebeto Ortiz in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fiori Pinho saved Quixoba SC from getting behind. Fiori Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebeto Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. G E Rione's Bebeto Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that G E Rione were the better team. G E Rione's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
