The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dudu Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalmo Soares having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernani Batista in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Erik Della prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Deivid Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Adalmo Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens-Erik Della stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernani Batista's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Quarahy's zone, Víktor de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Erik Della came out of the goal and Víktor de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernani Batista in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jens-Erik Della, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Reginaldo Lucas scored 3-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens-Erik Della, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dudu Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalmo Soares having to interfere. In the 47th minute of the match Duarte Moreno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adalmo Soares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernani Batista made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Ernani Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens-Erik Della was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 58 minutes into the game, LOS POLLOS's Domingos Neto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jens-Erik Della made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Quarahy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave LOS POLLOS a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rômulo Prestes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Quarahy's Jens-Erik Della. 5-0. LOS POLLOS's Adalmo Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Montenegro in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Quarahy's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Batista came free, but Jens-Erik Della reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Quarahy getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jorginho Gaúcho hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quarahy's zone, Víktor de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Erik Della came out of the goal and Víktor de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Renatinho Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Ernani Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens-Erik Della was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Ernani Batista advanced and headed the ball into goal, 6-0 in the 83rd minute. Deivid Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes of play, LOS POLLOS's Hernani de Andrade made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jens-Erik Della was left in no man's land by his defense there! LOS POLLOS's Reginaldo Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. LOS POLLOS had played much better football throughout.
