Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Duda Linares took the kick off in the first half of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Giovanni Nunes in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vasco da Gama™'s Américo do Vale. 9 minutes into the match, Cafuca's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Micael came free, but Válbson Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duda Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 played minutes Cafuca got a freekick which was hit by Tião Dracena. Duda Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Válbson Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Cafuca's Elder Neiva threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ivo Rodrigues, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Duda Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Válbson Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edelmiro Micael struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Válbson Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vasco da Gama™. Duda Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Válbson Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Medeiros hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Elder Neiva came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cafuca's Vítor Dracena. But to his dismay, Vítor Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Duda Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Duda Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasco da Gama™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Duda Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válbson Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Medeiros in the 43rd minute of play forced Cafuca's goalkeeper Válbson Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Duda Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válbson Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dinei Cruz made the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Cafuca's goalkeeper Válbson Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silas Cearense. Duda Linares was extremely unlucky when he, in the 60th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Américo do Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Edelmiro Micael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válbson Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duda Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nuno Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Ivo Rodrigues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elder Neiva. Vasco da Gama™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivo Rodrigues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Simão Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Américo do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasco da Gama™'s Simão Xavier managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by José Pedro Mendes in the 84 minute of the game. In the 85th minute, Simão Xavier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Válbson Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Dinei Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Cafuca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Duda Linares scored to the left of an out of position Válbson Freire, making the score, 4-2. Cafuca's Válbson Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Cafuca from getting a goal against them. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Cafuca were victorious despite being under pressure from Vasco da Gama™ for much of the match.
