Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Délio Mendonça started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Amílton Urbano charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amílton Urbano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Iguira booed when Gonzaga S.E.P was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Iguira's Nelsinho Melo got a free kick in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Iguira's zone, Adelino Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edu Maia came out of the goal and Adelino Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amílton Urbano lost his temper 31 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Amílton Urbano hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Vladimir Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando Vale hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Adelino Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gonzaga S.E.P's supporters rose to their feet, but Adelino Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edu Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arlindo Garcia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Adelino Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Edu Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Iguira's Nelsinho Melo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. If Délio Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzaga S.E.P's Enéas Quaresma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Melo in the 76th minute of play.
