Sabino Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Boca De Fumo's Valdir Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Gonçalves in the 9th minute of play. Valdir Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Gonçalves in the 12th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romário Souto in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdir Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Perivaldo Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabino Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Sabino Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynaldo Valladares in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Quixelo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Moraes came free, but Sabino Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Nilson Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nuno Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdir Guerra came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Quixelo SC's Romário Souto. But to his dismay, Romário Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Quixelo SC's Nuno Gonçalves in 33 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Valdir Guerra guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Reynaldo Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sabino Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Quixelo SC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Paulo Renato Lopez hit a great ball. After the first half Quixelo SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno Gonçalves to strike the kick off in the second half. When Romário Souto came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Quixelo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Souto couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the game, Nuno Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valdir Guerra. Nuno Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Nuno Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Gonçalves in the 67th minute of play forced Boca De Fumo's goalkeeper Valdir Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynaldo Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nuno Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdir Guerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Reynaldo Valladares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Perivaldo Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabino Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Quixelo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Moraes came free, but Sabino Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th match minute, Quixelo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerônimo Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdir Guerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. When Nuno Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Quixelo SC fans jumped to their feet. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Quixelo SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
