Quixelo SC's Sabino Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Sampaio in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Zé Carlos Sampaio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabino Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Sabino Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Silva in the 41st minute of the match. Nuno Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mané Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After a rather tough play, Cajueiro's Jeferson Cavalcante got a free kick in the 56th minute. Mané Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jerônimo Duarte went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 63rd minute of the match Jerônimo Duarte sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mané Queirós skillfully saved the ball. If Osvaldo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quixelo SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cajueiro the free kick. After 70 played minutes Quixelo SC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Lopez. Sabino Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Munhoz in the 72nd minute. Alberto Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabino Veloso having to interfere. Quixelo SC's Sabino Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Quixelo SC from getting a goal against them. When Romário Souto came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Quixelo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Souto couldn't finish the play.
