Spectators: 7255 (Terracing: 5443, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) Campinas White Tigers's Raimundo Catarinense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Christiano de Godoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lirex fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ronaldinho Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Campinas White Tigers's João Adolfo Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandor Mortler in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christiano de Godoy got free with João Adolfo Pombal in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Sebastião Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Adolfo Pombal made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Christiano de Godoy sent off a good shot on target. João Adolfo Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Catarinense in the 18th minute of play forced Lirex's goalkeeper Edgar Montinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Adolfo Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Júlio Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campinas White Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Montinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 minutes of play, Campinas White Tigers's Raimundo Catarinense made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Montinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41stth minute of the game Raimundo Catarinense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lirex's Edgar Montinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Lirex's André Velloso got a free kick in the 41st minute. Sandor Mortler's late challenge caught a Campinas White Tigers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandor Mortler helped the player get up and apologised. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 55th minute Lirex were awarded a corner. Jimmy Björkdahl went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jimmy Björkdahl got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Adolfo Pombal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Campinas White Tigers booed when Lirex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandor Mortler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Campinas White Tigers's Raimundo Catarinense ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgar Montinho. Edgar Montinho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Christiano de Godoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Adolfo Pombal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. João Adolfo Pombal came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Lirex's Wilton Montenegro. But to his dismay, Wilton Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 68th match minute, Campinas White Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Campinas White Tigers's goalkeeper João Adolfo Pombal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Raimundo Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campinas White Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Catarinense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Montinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Christiano de Godoy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Adolfo Pombal was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 84 minutes into the game, Raimundo Catarinense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgar Montinho. Raimundo Catarinense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. João Adolfo Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Torres's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Campinas White Tigers's João Adolfo Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Torres in the 89th minute of play. If Christiano de Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Campinas White Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Torres came free, but João Adolfo Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Campinas White Tigers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
