In the 9th minute, Cruzilha SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Norberto de Amorim fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 13 played minutes Cruzilha SC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Gaúcho. In the 18th minute, Kléberson Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio Novaes in the 20th minute of play forced Mattinha SC's goalkeeper Jeremias Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kléberson Pimenta hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Jeremias Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Novaes in the 28th minute of play. Donato Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremias Prado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donato Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Gaúcho in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremias Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Donato Gaúcho put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jeremias Prado. After a rather tough play, Cruzilha SC's Marquinhos Cruz got a free kick in the 39th minute. Túlio Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Franklin Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47thth minute of the game Dráuzio Novaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mattinha SC's Jeremias Prado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Norberto de Amorim made the kick off in the second half. Jeremias Prado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Gaúcho in the 55th minute. In the 56th match minute, Cruzilha SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Túlio Madureira in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franklin Nogueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Mattinha SC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Custódio Faustino hit a great ball. Cruzilha SC's Donato Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franklin Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Cruzilha SC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Pedrão Botelho hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Túlio Madureira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franklin Nogueira was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. After some careless play in the Mattinha SC defense, Donato Gaúcho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Prado. The Mattinha SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Prado should have stopped the shot. Cruzilha SC's Dráuzio Novaes got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeremias Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráuzio Novaes in the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Donato Gaúcho lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Jeremias Prado. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Túlio Madureira in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franklin Nogueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Túlio Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráuzio Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donato Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Jeremias Prado made a huge save. Cruzilha SC played a much better game than Mattinha SC and deserved their victory. The Mattinha SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
