Rafinha Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafinha Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Norberto de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Túlio Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrado Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jeremias Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Norberto de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mattinha SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafinha Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 played minutes Acima EC got a freekick which was hit by Rony Peres. In the 32nd minute of the match Olavo Fantini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafinha Nascimento skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Passos during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Acima EC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ulysses Passos hit a great ball. If Túlio Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. Acima EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Conrado Pinheiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Mattinha SC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Kléberson Pimenta hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes Mattinha SC got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Fantini. 65 minutes into the match, Mattinha SC's Túlio Madureira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafinha Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Norberto de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mattinha SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafinha Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafinha Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Túlio Madureira sent off a good shot on target. During the 70th minute of the match Ulysses Passos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ulysses Passos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ulysses Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto de Amorim in the 71st minute of play forced Acima EC's goalkeeper Rafinha Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Mattinha SC's Norberto de Amorim slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafinha Nascimento. That made the score 0-2 after 73 minutes of play. In the 76th minute, Norberto de Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Norberto de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mattinha SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafinha Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Túlio Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Nascimento having to interfere. The Mattinha SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
