Gino Santana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Olavo Paraibano made a huge save. When Wiliam Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fronteira's protests and gave Wiliam Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. Wiliam Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Gino Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Gino Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fronteira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Clube de Regatas Bazuka's Olavo Paraibano got control of the ball when Gino Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 played minutes Fronteira got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Gomes. 46 minutes into the match, Fronteira's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Arantes came free, but Emerson Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Igor Arantes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fronteira's Emerson Lago. Emerson Lago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabiano Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Fronteira's much stronger midfield.
