Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Allan Perez took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Herveiras's zone, Iuri Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens Donato came out of the goal and Iuri Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xixas's Bernardinho Pena suffered a sore thigh after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Aluísio Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aluísio Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Xixas booed when Herveiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aluísio Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Zilles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Herveiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xixas the free kick. The supporters of Xixas booed when Herveiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos Zilles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubens Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iuri Santana in the 8th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Xixas's corner Denílson Bueno fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rubens Donato quite easily take care of the ball. Rubens Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iuri Santana in the 13th minute of the match. If Iuri Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Herveiras getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Frederico França hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Manoel de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Aluísio Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Iuri Santana made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Carlinhos Zilles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herveiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlinhos Zilles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tibúrcio Nóbrega's late challenge caught a Xixas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tibúrcio Nóbrega helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Xixas booed when Herveiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibúrcio Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute of the match, Iuri Santana got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rubens Donato was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Manoel de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Donato having to interfere. Iuri Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jorge Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience held their breath when Carlinhos Zilles in the 65th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Thiago Reis's left hand side. In the 66th match minute, Xixas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Iuri Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Rubens Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Iuri Santana came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Xixas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iuri Santana couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the match, Xixas's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Zilles came free, but Thiago Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Herveiras's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Iuri Santana fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Iuri Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Xixas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
