Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Júlio Peres kicked off to start the match. Paulão da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Mangueira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Soeiro in the 11th minute of play forced Jacus's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dito de Sousa's late challenge caught a Joinville SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dito de Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Jacus's zone, Afonsinho Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Augusto Mangueira came out of the goal and Afonsinho Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doni Antunes got free with Túlio Lopes in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Doni Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Túlio Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio Lopes made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Doni Antunes sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Augusto Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonsinho Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Jacus defense, Paulão da Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Augusto Mangueira. The Jacus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Augusto Mangueira should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doni Antunes got free with Túlio Lopes in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Paulão da Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Augusto Mangueira was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. When Joinville SS's Paulão da Costa in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacus's goalie prevented a goal. Júlio Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Túlio Lopes having to make a save. The Jacus players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Joinville SS were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Paulão da Costa made the kick off in the second half. During the 52nd minute of the match Dito de Sousa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dito de Sousa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dito de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to Joinville SS getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Emílio Luz hit a great ball. Jacus's Doni Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jacus's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Mangueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilberto Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Doni Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jacus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Jacus's zone, Afonsinho Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Augusto Mangueira came out of the goal and Afonsinho Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the match, Jacus's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Mangueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulão da Costa. In the last second Pedro Augusto Mangueira throw himself and got hold of the ball when Paulão da Costa in the 79thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Joinville SS's Bruninho de Queirós couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Jacus. The supporters of Joinville SS booed when Jacus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Joinville SS's Bruninho de Queirós tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Júlio Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Júlio Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jacus fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! The Jacus supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Joinville SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Joinville SS.
