Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Walmyr Paraíba got the match started through his kick off. Hermínio Mattos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Noel Cavalcante made a huge save. After 5 played minutes L L 1990 4 Ever got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Mendes. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Severino Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arouca's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noel Cavalcante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Jacinto in the 9th managed to get into a good position. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Arouca fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Arouca's Hermínio Mattos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 28th minute, João Adolfo Paes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrique Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Barreto having to interfere.
