When Irmandade's Deivid Seco in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Timetendo EC's goalie prevented a goal. When Betão de Lara fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Timetendo EC's protests and gave Betão de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. Betão de Lara hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When Timetendo EC's Fábio Duarte in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Irmandade's goalie prevented a goal. When Deivid Seco came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Irmandade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deivid Seco couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Váldson Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irmandade's supporters rose to their feet, but Váldson Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Meirelles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, Irmandade's goal looked a bit too open when Simão de Toledo came free, but Rafa Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute of the match Donatello Aguiar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Meirelles skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Váldson Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irmandade's supporters rose to their feet, but Váldson Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Meirelles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irmandade's Deivid Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Irmandade booed when Timetendo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deivid Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Váldson Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Irmandade fans jumped to their feet. Deivid Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Meirelles having to interfere. Betão de Lara got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Timetendo EC's Betão de Lara got a free kick in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Irmandade's goalkeeper Rafa Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benê Zanette. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benê Zanette stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hamílton Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Váldson Trancoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino Meirelles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Váldson Trancoso ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafa Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benê Zanette in the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Timetendo EC booed when Irmandade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Pavan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Seco in the 64th minute of play. Benê Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aírton Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Horácio Mazza suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Washington de Godoi during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Irmandade made a substitution. Jarbas Arruda replaced Horácio Mazza. Deivid Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benê Zanette during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Irmandade's Váldson Trancoso got a free kick in the 89th minute. Deivid Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Deivid Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarbas Arruda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Meirelles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
