Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonel Loureiro to make the kick off. Pedro Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 played minutes Itacaja FC got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Trancoso. After having played for 80 minutes, Giuseppe de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontalinda SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe de Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Giuseppe de Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juarês de Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Loureiro in the 85th minute of the match. Leonel Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Juarês de Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontalinda SC. The supporters of Pontalinda SC booed when Itacaja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrézinho Fernandez took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juarês de Godoy. Juarês de Godoy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0.
