Clube de regatas Ajax's Dieguinho da Fonseca managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guto Neiva in the 30 minute of the game. In the 33rdth minute of the game Dorival Passos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moenda's Jardel Mumbach was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Válter Cardozo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cipriano Saraiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
