The Joel Catarinense was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Mota in the 85th minute of play forced Sporting's goalkeeper Joel Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If 秦云扬 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Virgílio Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
