After 6 minutes, Cléber Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estacao and the Amambera players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Albertinho Neiva put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kiko Brodel. Eugênio Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Albertinho Neiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kiko Brodel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho Neiva ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Cléber Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Amambera booed when Estacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amambera's Daniel Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Capixaba in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Amambera getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eugênio Koehler hit a great ball. Kiko Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Neiva in the 31st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Matheus Alcântara put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kiko Brodel. Matheus Alcântara did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Kiko Brodel 40 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the game, Estacao's Cléber Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Tasso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Amambera's Daniel Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber Ribeiro in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albertinho Neiva was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Tasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Perivaldo Capixaba in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the game, Albertinho Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 78 minutes, Perivaldo Capixaba made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. Amambera's Daniel Tasso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Estacao's goalkeeper Kiko Brodel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as João Carlos Meira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daniel Tasso. That made the score 3-5 in the 86 minute of play. When Estacao's Cléber Ribeiro in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Amambera's goalie prevented a goal. After 92 played minutes Amambera got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Severo. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Amambera lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
