Maurinho Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baluarte's Maurinho Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Maciel in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Baluarte getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Kiko Salgado hit a great ball. Ezequiel Cardoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Lauro Donato skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedro Luiz Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pedro Luiz Silva came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Baluarte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luiz Silva couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Baluarte booed when Jequie SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lauro Donato was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Baluarte's Pedro Luiz Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Maciel in the 73rd minute of play forced Baluarte's goalkeeper Maurinho Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
