When Vitinho Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Moitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Araújo couldn't finish the play. Moitas's Vitinho Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Alan Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moitas's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes in the game, Vitinho Araújo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marcos Botelho having to interfere. In the 18th minute Mané Custódio suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 18 minutes into the game, Rodriguinho Custódio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lambary SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moitas the free kick. Moitas's José Moura was substituted for Mané Custódio. 17 minutes into the game, one of Lambary SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Moitas. Celsinho Matos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcos Botelho. 1-0. In the 26th minute, José Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lambary SS's Marcos Botelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Lambary SS from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the game, Alan Cruz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Botelho. Alan Cruz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 34th minute Vitinho Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Vitinho Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lambary SS's Marcos Botelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lambary SS's zone, Vitinho Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Botelho came out of the goal and Vitinho Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitinho Araújo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Moitas's Vitinho Araújo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Botelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Marcos Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lambary SS's Elias Trigo got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Vitinho Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Alan Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 63 played minutes Moitas got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Dracena. In the 73rd minute José Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lambary SS's Marcos Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Moura in the 77th minute of play. Dedé Cardozo charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dedé Cardozo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lambary SS's Dedé Cardozo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Vitinho Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Marcos Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celsinho Matos struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Marcos Botelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moitas. When the referee ended the match the Moitas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
