When Emílio Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moraiba's protests and gave Emílio Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jequitai booed when Moraiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giovanni Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Batista in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. Jequitai played a much better game than Moraiba and deserved their victory. The Moraiba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
