Spectators: 6651 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 0) Dé Zonta charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dé Zonta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Ipauanema got a freekick which was hit by Dé Zonta. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Tande in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Guilherme Donato saved Ipauanema from getting behind. Reynaldo de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mário Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 0-1 became the score in the 12th minute when Reynaldo de Sena elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Mário Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Benê Pinheiro made a huge save. After 20 played minutes Ibateguara SC got a freekick which was hit by Nando Favoretto. Benê Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ibateguara SC's Douglas Ramos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the Ibateguara SC defense, Mário Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benê Pinheiro. The Ibateguara SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benê Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. Douglas Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ibateguara SC's zone, Ricardinho Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benê Pinheiro came out of the goal and Ricardinho Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ipauanema's Mário Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardinho Marinho struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Benê Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipauanema. Benê Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Mário Correia sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Ibateguara SC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Zeca Domingues hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardinho Marinho in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benê Pinheiro saved Ibateguara SC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Ricardinho Marinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benê Pinheiro was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Mário Correia scored 2-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benê Pinheiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Douglas Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Luís Guilherme Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ipauanema's zone, Reynaldo de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Guilherme Donato came out of the goal and Reynaldo de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ipauanema's Luís Guilherme Donato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Ipauanema from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute, Mário Correia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ipauanema fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 72nd minute, Ibateguara SC's Igor Tande ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luís Guilherme Donato. Luís Guilherme Donato yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Benê Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Marinho in the 75th minute of the match. When Igor Tande came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ibateguara SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Tande couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Jânio Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 89 minutes Ibateguara SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Denílson Vieira who took care of the corner kick. Ibateguara SC's Benê Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Correia in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Mário Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Ibateguara SC's Igor Tande sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Guilherme Donato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ibateguara SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
