Jean Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Javier Tohias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jean Silveira having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Ronaldo Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tomé Domingues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Vila Nova Goiânia DCF booed when Feijo AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Tohias couldn't finish the play. José Maria Barreto charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 34thth minute of the game Silvério Leão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Feijo AD's Jean Silveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronaldo Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tomé Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Silvério Leão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jean Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomé Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. Jean Silveira made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Erasmo Romero sent off a good shot on target. When Silvério Leão came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Vila Nova Goiânia DCF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvério Leão couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Feijo AD getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Dagoberto de Lima hit a great ball. Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's Fabinho Seco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Benedito Coelho in the 67 minute of the game. After 71 minutes of play, Feijo AD's Raimundo Prata made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomé Domingues was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silvério Leão struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jean Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Nova Goiânia DCF. 79 minutes into the match, Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's Javier Tohias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean Silveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's Tomé Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Prata in the 87th minute of play. Silvério Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jean Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomé Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Prata in the 95th minute of play. Vila Nova Goiânia DCF were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
