Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frédson Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moisés Correia having to make a save. After 10 played minutes Conexão FSC got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Dracena. In the 14th minute, Sílvio Luís Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frédson Neto in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moisés Correia saved Axinim from getting behind. The supporters of Conexão FSC booed when Axinim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arne Nolan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cido de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Conexão FSC's Alexsandro Dracena couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Axinim. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Macedo in the 42nd minute of play forced Conexão FSC's goalkeeper Eduardo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frédson Neto was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Andrézinho Munhoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Axinim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Conexão FSC the free kick. A collision led to Axinim getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Andrézinho Munhoz hit a great ball. Frédson Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Correia having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Axinim's Laerte Guedes got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frédson Neto got free with Moisés Correia in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sílvio Luís Silva hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Guedes in the 74th minute of play forced Conexão FSC's goalkeeper Eduardo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Silvinho Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Axinim's zone, Frédson Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés Correia came out of the goal and Frédson Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Axinim booed when Conexão FSC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Pinho having to interfere. Conexão FSC's Eduardo Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Macedo in the 84th minute of play. Frédson Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Correia having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Frédson Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Conexão FSC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frédson Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute Laerte Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conexão FSC played a much better game than Axinim and deserved their victory. The Axinim players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
