Ademar de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo da Mata having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ademar de Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo da Mata was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, Raimundo Matos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Olinda SS's Raphael Mendes. Raphael Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Flanimais's Victor Baiano got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ademar de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo da Mata having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Matos made a kick off. Raimundo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Flanimais fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Raimundo Matos struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Raphael Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flanimais. Raphael Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Raimundo Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Cleiton Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flanimais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleiton Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77thth minute of the game Raimundo Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olinda SS's Raphael Mendes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cleiton Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olinda SS's Raphael Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Olinda SS from getting a goal against them. If Túlio Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enéas Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
