The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Trevisan during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tubarões CFI's Álvaro Trevisan got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Paulo Renato Santana's late challenge caught a Tubarões CFI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mateus Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iuri Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álvaro Trevisan was the one to do the kick off. Cesinha Paes might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateus Tande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a defensive mix-up in Napoleao's zone, Iuri Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Tande came out of the goal and Iuri Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iuri Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Mateus Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iuri Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Belmiro de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Vergílio in the 90th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Napoleao's zone, Álvaro Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Tande came out of the goal and Álvaro Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Napoleao getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Diogo Paraibano hit a great ball. Iuri Leals short, quick shot in the 100thth minute got Mateus Tande to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Napoleao fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tubarões CFI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
