An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Silveira in the 22nd minute of play forced Stronda's goalkeeper Rubens de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Fellipe Massa put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of llans Football:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Stronda:s goal. 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 27 played minutes, when Stronda:s Edmílson Pitta calmly waited for llans Football:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. After some careless play in the Stronda defense, Alfredão Meira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubens de Senna. The Stronda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubens de Senna should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Eriberto Gerber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubens de Senna. Stronda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eriberto Gerber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 41 minutes into the match, Stronda's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Mineiro came free, but Rubens de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cláudio da Cunha during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cláudio da Cunha hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45thth minute of the game Eriberto Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stronda's Rubens de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eriberto Gerber to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Stronda got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Furtado. If Alfredão Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubens de Senna came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by llans Football's Wágner Mineiro. But to his dismay, Wágner Mineiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Wágner Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Rubens de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for llans Football. Rubens de Senna made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Alfredão Meira sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Stronda's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Gerber came free, but Rubens de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Stronda's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Mineiro came free, but Rubens de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Alfredão Meira made a precise shot to the right of Rubens de Senna. Stronda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 78th minute of the match, Alfredão Meira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rubens de Senna was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 79 minutes into the game, Wágner Mineiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Rubens de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Stronda booed when llans Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Waldemar Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmílson Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 86 minutes into the match, Luisinho Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Américo Vieira. llans Football's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisinho Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. In the 90th minute, llans Football's Eriberto Gerber ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rubens de Senna. Rubens de Senna yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-6. Rubens de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Stronda supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching llans Football's performance. The match ended with a win for llans Football.
