When Cipriano Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shaulim Matador FC's protests and gave Cipriano Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Shaulim Matador FC got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Guimarães. After 13 played minutes, Oiteiro's Valério Prado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juvenal Dante came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oiteiro reached it. Duda de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Luisinho Rodrigues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frank Botelho. Luisinho Rodrigues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Oiteiro's zone, Luisinho Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Botelho came out of the goal and Luisinho Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute Cipriano Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 57th minute Geovanni Faustino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oiteiro's Kléberson Madureira has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 63rd minute. With an all-out effort, Oiteiro's Juvenal Dante threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Geovanni Faustino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fausto Trancoso was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Oiteiro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Juvenal Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Faustino, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute Luisinho Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho Mesquita during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juvenal Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Faustino in the 92nd minute of the match.
