When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cipriano do Vale sped through A. D. Garça's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christiano Freire. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luizinho do Valle in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christiano Freire saved A. D. Garça from getting behind. Murihe's Abdulvahit Nazil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Murihe from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Murihe's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Toledo came free, but Abdulvahit Nazil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A. D. Garça were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Murihe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Otávio Proença took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Otávio Proença got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abdulvahit Nazil quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Christiano Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luizinho do Valle's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. If Luizinho do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Murihe's Leandro Pitta got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 34 minutes of play, Murihe's Luizinho do Valle made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christiano Freire was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the match, Murihe's goalkeeper Abdulvahit Nazil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jairo Pena. Cipriano do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christiano Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruy Toledo was the one to do the kick off. A. D. Garça's Jairo Pena got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedrão Lira hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horácio Pontes got free with Christiano Freire in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luizinho do Valle's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Christiano Freire skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 61 minutes into the match, A. D. Garça's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano do Vale came free, but Christiano Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, A. D. Garça's goalkeeper Christiano Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luizinho do Valle. Christiano Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano do Vale in the 66th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Cipriano do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano do Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christiano Freire having to make a save. Luizinho do Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christiano Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Douglas Carneiro's late challenge caught a Murihe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. 89 minutes into the match, A. D. Abdulvahit Nazil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murihe's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
