Mimozo SC's Chicão Paes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fernandinho Rodrigues but with some difficulty. In the 11th minute, Jürgen Narusk made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Pereira. Mimozo SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Falcão Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvald Kjeldsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Jürgen Narusk scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Pereira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nildo Marinho got free with Fernandinho Rodrigues in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Pedro Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvald Kjeldsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Pereira having to interfere. Jürgen Narusk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Falcão Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vitinho Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jürgen Narusk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute João Francisco Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Jürgen Narusk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fundao EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jürgen Narusk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fundao EC's Jürgen Narusk got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Fundao EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jürgen Narusk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Pereira having to make a save. When Jürgen Narusk came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Fundao EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jürgen Narusk couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Fundao EC's Vitinho Paraíba dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Osvald Kjeldsen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Waldir Miranda hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Mimozo SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vitinho Paraíba fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Waldir Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mimozo SC's protests and gave Waldir Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th match minute, Mimozo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Jürgen Narusk took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Falcão Pereira. Falcão Pereira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Fundao EC played a much better game than Mimozo SC and deserved their victory. The Mimozo SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
