Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Ibuguacu's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Lara came free, but Bebeto Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bebeto Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel da Cunha's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After 21 minutes, Otávio Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibuguacu and the Palmeirais FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ibuguacu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Bebeto Pinheiro had in the 23rdth minute some difficulties stopping Ediberto Miranda's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Abel da Cunha struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Bebeto Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeirais FC. 27 minutes into the match, Ibuguacu's Erivaldo da Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Guedes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Ramón dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibuguacu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmeirais FC the free kick. After 30 played minutes Ibuguacu got a freekick which was hit by Ramón dos Santos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Lara in the 31st minute of play forced Ibuguacu's goalkeeper Bebeto Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ibuguacu's zone, Abel da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto Pinheiro came out of the goal and Abel da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the game, Erivaldo da Silveira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donato Guedes. Erivaldo da Silveira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Ibuguacu's Ramón dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ibuguacu's Bebeto Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Brasil in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramón dos Santos to make the kick off. Glauco Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bebeto Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glauco Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. Ibuguacu's Bebeto Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Lara in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Lara in the 57th minute of play forced Ibuguacu's goalkeeper Bebeto Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Silveira's late challenge caught a Palmeirais FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ibuguacu! The goalkeeper, Bebeto Pinheiro, was totally fooled by Palmeirais FC's Ediberto Miranda, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Abel da Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bebeto Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel da Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Erivaldo da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Bebeto Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glauco Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Bebeto Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco Lara in the 68th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Ramón dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel da Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bebeto Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Erivaldo da Silveira's late challenge caught a Palmeirais FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erivaldo da Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. When Abel da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Palmeirais FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel da Cunha couldn't finish the play. If Abel da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Ibuguacu's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Lara came free, but Bebeto Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Lara in the 90th minute of play forced Ibuguacu's goalkeeper Bebeto Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Ibuguacu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abel da Cunha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 95th minute Glauco Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abel da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Palmeirais FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
