A collision led to Areinhas SS getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Romário Esteves struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Raimundo de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lidal. Geovânio Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Arí Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Geovânio Brito made the kick off in the second half. Mauro de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Batista in the 61st minute of play forced Areinhas SS's goalkeeper Raimundo de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlinhos Linhares made in the 69th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luís Guilherme Cavalcante. In the 72nd minute, Mauro de Sena made a precise shot to the right of Arí Pires. Lidal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Lidal's Romário Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Luís Guilherme Cavalcante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arí Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 83 minutes into the match, Areinhas SS's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Batista came free, but Raimundo de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Geovânio Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th minute, Luís Guilherme Cavalcante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Areinhas SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Mauro de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Areinhas SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro de Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arí Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Areinhas SS had won after a very even match.
