Zé Carlos Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel dos Santos having to interfere. Galinhas's João Vítor Vinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo de Sena in the 11th minute of play. If Ulysses Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léo de Sena struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. João Vítor Vinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olivia. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Mendes during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Olivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Galinhas's João Vítor Vinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Botelho in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Galinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Léo de Sena came free, but João Vítor Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes of play, Olivia's Kléberson Botelho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Vítor Vinhas was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Léo de Sena in the 49th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Vítor Vinhas saved Galinhas from getting behind.

The wind increased when Léo de Sena made the kick off in the second half. Kléberson Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the game, Conrado Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galinhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olivia the free kick. Conrado Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Kléberson Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michel dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Galinhas's Ulysses Carneiro in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olivia's goalie prevented a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléberson Botelho couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Galinhas defense, Kléberson Botelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Vítor Vinhas. The Galinhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Vítor Vinhas should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Paiva in the 92nd minute of play forced Olivia's goalkeeper Michel dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Zé Carlos Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galinhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 97th minute of the match, Kléberson Botelho got a very nice opportunity to score, but João Vítor Vinhas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
