The tension between the Perpetua AD and the Cruzeirinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Perpetua AD's Marcinho Hermes got a free kick in the 4th minute. Gonçalo de Amorim made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Marcinho Hermes sent off a good shot on target. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denílson Lima to make the kick off. Perpetua AD's Aníbal Brasil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Perpetua AD from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute Caco Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Marcinho Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perpetua AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcinho Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marcinho Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
