Wilson Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário da Silveira in the 24th minute of play. If Yuri Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valdir Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton Alagoano having to interfere. Wilson Paranaense came out of the goal and Mário da Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Yuri Favoretto took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Wilson Paranaense to make any attempt to save it. Wilson Paranaense made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Mário da Silveira sent off a good shot on target.
