Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ibicatu FC's Vicente Prado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernardo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano da Silveira in the 3rd minute of the match. Lenílson Perez was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Durvalino Cavalcante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Durvalino Cavalcante really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Manuel do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Lenílson Perez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Willian Linhares. After 15 played minutes Umburana got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Correia. Durvalino Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Víktor Barbosa's late challenge caught a Umburana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Umburana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caetano da Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

In the 84th minute of the match, Caetano da Silveira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bernardo Esteves was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Reginaldo Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Perez having to interfere.
