The Catanduva EC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Catanduva EC's Cássio Valle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 9 played minutes Atlético Indaialense FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Soares. After having played for 16 minutes, Hugo de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Indaialense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Catanduva EC's Ian Lopes got control of the ball when Hugo de Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Richard Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Matos having to interfere. When Dagoberto Lopez fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catanduva EC's protests and gave Dagoberto Lopez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Atlético Indaialense FC booed when Catanduva EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ian Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dadá Lopes in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian Lopes saved Catanduva EC from getting behind. Hugo de Lara scored 2-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ian Lopes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Richard Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ian Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dadá Lopes was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Atlético Indaialense FC's Hugo de Lara made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ian Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th match minute, Catanduva EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo de Lara took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ian Lopes. Ian Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Ronaldo Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldo Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Valle in the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, César Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Indaialense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but César Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronaldo Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Valle in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Catanduva EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atlético Indaialense FC.
